Surface functionalization of nanomaterials by aryl diazonium salts for biomedical sciences

Nanoparticles (NPs) can be prepared by simple reactions and methods from a number of materials. Their small size opens up applications in different fields, among which biomedicine, including: i) drug delivery, ii) biosensors, iii) bioimaging, iv) antibacterial activity. To able to perform such tasks, NPs must modified with variety functional molecules, as drugs, targeting groups, chemical tags or agents, also prevented aggregation. The attachment stable resist during the transportation targeted location. Diazonium salts, have been widely used for coupling surface modification, fulfil criteria. Moreover, they are prepare easily substituted large organic groups. This review describes use these compounds nanomedicine focus on construction nanohybrids derived metal, oxide carbon-based well viruses.
